Paul Mirengoff at Power Line:
The willingness of half the Senate Democrats to vote against a candidate of Judge Roberts' ability, accomplishment, and temperament is a disgrace, and one that will likely change the "rules of engagement" with respect to the Supreme Court confirmation process for years to come.
Wow. Who knew Mirengoff would have said something like this? Of course he has mountains of evidence that the Democrats were secretly convinced of Roberts' godlike prowess and dedication to the law, despite his refusal to answer any actual questions about, you know, the law.

Obviously, Mirengoff had this "It's on, bitches" post all ready to go. I have the feeling that if all the Democrats had voted for Roberts, Mirengoff would have said something like:
The willingness of all the Senate Democrats to vote for a candidate that Bush nominated is a welcome development, and one that will likely change the "rules of engagement" with respect to the Supreme Court confirmation process for years to come.
As for Michelle, she limits her thoughts on Roberts to
Wonder if the new Chief Justice will be keeping those gold stripes?
