There's been some confusion: I just want to reiterate that there is no reason to believe that this is an early example of Jesse taking a strong and collaborative role in his [future] wife's career, without acknowledging said role.

Also: Can't you just see the word "unhinged" struggling to be born in his description of the student who tore up the paper?
