They're using the wrong angle.

This site uses the chart brought up by the Qibla finder for Pittsburgh, PA, which is 82 miles from Shanksville. This gives an angle of 54.4 degrees, shorthanded as 54 degrees in the image overlay. However, the Qibla finder gives readings for a lot of towns in Pennsylvania, including Somerset - which is only 9.9 miles from Shanksville. And what's the Qibla angle for Somerset?

55.08 degrees! A full half degree difference.

That's some crack geometry, wingnuts.
